The activities Science Forum (2017-18) was inaugurated by Dr. P. Ananthapadmanabhan (Maharaja’s College, Eranakulam) on 13th October 2017. The UGC sponsored capacity building workshop on Interdisciplinary Research was organized by Science Forum.

 

 

Cryptogams of Western Ghats -A Botanical Perspective

We are very happy to invite you to the Two Day Seminar on “Cryptogams of Western Ghats-A botanical perspective” organised by the Dept of Botany,Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and MG University, Kottayam on Feb 15 &16,2017.  This seminar aims to generate an interest in the lower plant forms which are not given their due importance.
Topics to be discussed include:(1)Digest of lichens(2)Identification and isolation of fungi(3)Diversity and distribution of Bryophytes in Kerala (4)An overview of the ferns and lycophytes of Kerala(5)Taxonomy of fresh water algae of Kerala

29th Kerala Science Congress

The Kerala Science Congress is a three day annual science event conducted by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment during the last week of January every year. This annual event provides a forum for young researchers, academicians, technologists and others from the State and elsewhere to exchange knowledge and share their research findings and development of technologies relevant to the State of Kerala.

The 29th Kerala Science Congress is jointly organized by KSCSTE and KFRI at Mar Thoma College, Thiruvalla.

The Focal theme chosen for the 29th Kerala Science Congress is “Genomics in Health and Disease”.
