Observing Total Lunar Eclipse

The public sky watch event arranged at Mar Thoma College Tiruvalla, on the occasion of Total Lunar Eclipse, was a great success. More than a hundred people, including general public, watched the lunar eclipse through two telescopes available in the Department of Physics. Final year PG students, Catherine George, Shamjith Khan K C, Shilpa Mary Mathew, Subin Abraham, presented an informative talk on the peculiarities of this lunar eclipse.

The faculty and students of the Department, in various capacities, made excellent efforts in arranging this special event. The help from Prof. Ens Mathews, BAM College, Thuruthikkad is gratefully acknowledged, in setting the telescope.

We do acknowledge the participation of faculty members of the College, many with family, in the event.
